Becky
I’m a homeschool mom, light lover, and forager.
Besides taking photos, my favorite part of running a photography business was making kids laugh and feel comfortable. That’s still a role I enjoy to this day.
I am an author and editor and mostly write poetry and creative nonfiction, with essays published in You’re In Good Company and more projects—including children’s books—in the works. I believe words are powerful and I love teaching kids to delight in language and find their own voices.
You can usually find me with either a notebook and pen, a camera, or clippers in my hand.
I am drawn to seeking out all the beautiful gifts in this world, an impactful skill to pass on to our children in today’s tech age. It has been my greatest joy to savor my surroundings and create alongside my 10-year-old daughter—whether we’re brainstorming words that make us laugh, foraging in the brush to make bouquets, or watercoloring at the kitchen table.
I can’t wait to do the same with your kids.

I’m a homeschool dad, entrepreneur, and problem solver.
I’ve always been curious about how things work. I enjoy taking a complicated problem, slowing it down, and finding a practical way forward. Whether I’m troubleshooting an engine or working through a business idea, there’s something deeply satisfying about discovering what isn’t working—and figuring out how to make it better.
The part of entrepreneurship I enjoy most is turning an idea into something genuinely useful for other people. It requires creativity, careful listening, experimentation, and a willingness to keep improving—all skills I’m excited to share with students.
You can usually find me with a tool in my hand, a project in progress, or a new idea I’m trying to bring to life.
I’ve seen how much my daughter’s confidence grows when I give her just enough guidance to try something for herself. I want students to learn practical skills, but I also want them to become patient problem solvers who aren’t afraid to make mistakes, ask good questions, and try again.
I can’t wait to help your kids discover their capabilities.
